CKC Tracking Test Rules & Regulations Updates This
information is pertaining to additions, deletions and admendments as determined by
the Canadian Kennel Club, as it relates to the Tracking Rules and Regulations
at this time. This information is not found in the current Rule Book, but
will be incorporated at the time of the next printing of the Book. Some information
on this page will be found in the Policy and Procedures Manual, current or

" 2009 In the 2009 Tracking
Test Rules and Regulations - Premium List 4.1 (p) it states that "
A statement to include the wording of Section 13.7 is to appear in the Premium
List. In the Tracking Rules
& Regulations 2007 and prior years this was the correct Section
Number. Due to a revised edition error in transcribing, the correct Section
as it applies to the Premium List should be Section 14.7 and not Section
13.7

Chapter VII, Section G, 4, (e), (g), (h) be amended effective January
1, 2009, to read as follows: VII.
JUDGES G Applicant Tracking Test Judges 4. Apprentice Judges (e) An
apprentice judge must apprentice at a minimum of three (3) Tracking Tests,
under three (3) different experienced judges. The judges under whom
the applicant acts as an apprentice judge, must be judges
who are on The Canadian Kennel Club's list of approved Tracking Test Judges. (f) An
apprentice judge must receive three (3) satisfactory reports. (g) If
an apprentice judge receives three (3) unsatisfactory apprentice reports
from three (3) separate officiating judges, the apprenticeship will
be terminated and the applicant may re-apply after waiting one (1) full year
from the time the apprenticeship was terminated. At that time the applicant must
provide proof of additional experience and involvement in tracking." >

6.1.19 be amended effective January 1, 2009 to read as follows: 6
ENTRIES & END OF TEST 6.1 Entry
Requirements DELETE CURRENT 6.1.19 Entries must be mailed
or sent by courier to the postal address of the event secretary. Faxed, emailed
or hand delivered entries are not acceptable. Each entry must be mailed in a separate envelope REPLACE
WITH NEW 6.1.19 Entries must be mailed or couriered to the postal
address of the event secretary as stated on the premium list. At its option,
the club may elect to receive entries either by mail or courier
or both methods. Faxed, emailed or hand delivered entries are
not acceptable. Each entry must be mailed in a separate envelope or they will

to Hold a Tracking Test ADD NEW 2.1.2 A club that has
not held any Tracking Test or has not held an approved tracking test in the past
five years must hold one (1) sanction match for each type of tracking test, Field

(U.T.DX) under two (2) different experienced 'Tracking Test Judges. REPLACE
WITH NEW
(1) Minimum requirements for judging
at each level:
- TD must
assist with plotting 7 TD tracks and must be fully responsible for plotting an
additional 7 -
TDX-must assist with plotting 3 TDX tracks and must be fully responsible for plotting
an additional 3 - UTD-must
assist with plotting 3 UTD tracks and must be fully responsible for plotting an
additional 3 -
UTDX-must assist with plotting 2 UTDX tracks and must be fully responsible for
plotting an additional 2 (1) When assisting with
plotting, the apprentice is required to participate in the decision making
process during the plotting of tracks. Final decisions are the responsibility
of the officating judge. (2) All tracks plotted
by the apprentice must be supervised and approved by a CKC licensed judge before
being used in the test. In order to count toward an apprentice's requirement's,
the tracks must have been used during the test(s) ,(ie. if a track is plotted
and not used on test day: it doesn't count ) " NOTE:

test committee for a test at which they are officiating,

the Tracking Test Rules & Regulation, Section 6.5.1 be amended effective January
1.2009, by adding a new section to read: 6. ENTRIES
& END OF TEST 6.5 Closing
Date 6.5.1 On the closing date
the test-giving club shall notify the person making the entry, that the entry
has been received and accepted. When the advertised limit has been reached, all
remaining entries shall be assigned a position on an alternate list in the order
received. At the time of the draw, entries from
the alternate list may fill any absentee spaces. An absentee is defined as an
entrant who is not present at the draw. The person making the entry shall be notified
of his position on the alternate list. Entries will be refunded within 10
days of the tracking test to those on the alternate list who did not participate
in the test. If an entrant pulls
out of the test and is filled by an alternate who accepts the position, then
the alternate is now responsible for the entry fee paid to the club. The original
participant will be refunded the entry fee in full. If the alternate
pulls out after accepting the position, after the closing date, and there are
no additional alternates, then this alternate forfeits the entry
fee to the club. Motion carried |
